Friends of Dresden Gallery

Hey SL friends,

I am currently a graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin. I am doing research of the role of a museum in second life and need some valuable input. I would love it if you all would help me by answering one or a few of my questions.

How does the Dresden Gallery function in second life as place of education?

What would you like to see implemented at a museum like this?

What do you find most valuable on your visit?

Describe your experience in any way...

and/or

Do you find the museum a place of social interaction or a peaceful resort?

Hi Amanda,

My name is Richard Wills, aka Rik Mesmeriser.

I have only visited the Dresden Museum a few times, but I have only
had a few opportunities to be in Second Life, the last few weeks.

It has been a while since I have been to Europe and this has been the
perfect threshhold to re-acquaint myself with a Eurocentric Art
collection.

My major interest is history, the Dresden collection has given me
a valuable vision of several centuries of European life.

It has been very peacefull. The few visitors I have ran into were
not willing to converse, so that has been a disappointment.

I have not had the time to explore in depth, the range of the
Museum's collection. So I do not have anything to request
at this time. When I have had an overview, then I'll get back
to you on this subject.

I hope you will find these comments relevant.

My Regards - Richard Wills
